1 single charger for all its sex toys

Click’n charge, my rant against FunFactory! – BBFactory

Few years ago, Fun Factory offered with each of its products a generally fairly standard charger that had to be plugged into the sex toy to recharge the batteries.

Then, they decided to offer more advanced chargers, with their system of Click’n charge. Concretely, the connection is no longer made by inserting a plug into the sex toy but by a contact system (much like electric toothbrushes) which is held in place by a magnet.

Thanks to this technology, the sex toy can become completely closed and waterproof and the idea is rather ingenious. Except that in use, it turns out to be a little less obvious. Indeed, the magnets used to maintain contact between the sex toy and the charger are not very powerful. And it happened to me on several occasions to find that they were unhooked after having left my Stronic Eins for several hours to recharge (well that’s what i thought). This kind of thing never happens with a conventional charging system.

But let’s forget the little practical inconveniences to look at the commercial aspect that leaves me perplexed. Fun Factory markets its chargers separately! This practice inevitably leads to its share of disappointments for poorly informed people who find themselves with a brand new sex toy but no charger to use it… And even for regulars (and here I am talking about myself), there are still bad surprises because obviously their chargers are not irreproachable either in terms of lifespan. My copy received at the beginning of the year gave up the ghost a few days ago.

So I no longer have any charger to use my branded sex toys Fun Factory. And the problem also arises for one of the pending tests…

In the end, I find that this “innovation” that is the system click’n charge only brings inconvenience. Financial, because it must be added to the price of the sex toy; practical, because it does no better than a conventional charger and finally it has the perverse effect of strongly penalizing regulars of the brand who can no longer use their sex toys because of a defective charger or a LELO customer (for example) finds itself with as many chargers as sex toys…
